Snow Hill Yoga

Here where I live there is a lady that teaches yoga in town. I have been taking classes with her and recently she had asked me if I would take some photographs of her advanced class for her monthly flyers. She said that we could do a trade, the photographs for yoga classes. We agreed which worked well for me cause currently I am out of a job.
I am only in the beginner class so it was very interesting to see the more complex poses done in the advanced class. I have found that done here it is useful to do trades to get what you need. Here are a few of the photographs I took for her.

Before the class while I was waiting for the instructor I took these couple photographs of the center of town. The light was really nice in the way it fell on the buildings and everything was very peaceful and quite because of how early it was.

Maryland Farm Land

Every time I leave town I drive by this one stretch of farm land and I think to myself I must stop and photograph that, so yesterday I decided I was going. I hopped in the car drive about five minutes out of town and took some photographs. Here are two of the ones I took.

The Blue Dog Cafe

In the town I currently live in there is a small restaurant called The Blue Dog Cafe. The link for the cafe is http://www.bluedogsnowhill.com/Welcome.html They are only open two nights a week and the two men who run the cafe are Todd Crosby and Gary Weber who both used to sing on Broadway. There is always live music. I was asked to come down for a special event and photograph. Kelly Briggs and John McMahon sung for a small audience that night. Those that attended where able to hear a preview of a song from a performance that will soon be on broadway.

The man playing piano is John McMahon and the man in the white suit is Kelly Briggs.

Camp Agape

Over the summer I filmed for a camp called Camp Agape which is a camp for kids with incarcerated parents. Afterwards I put together a memory book type thing for the kids. Here are a few of the pages with the photos I took of the kids. The kids where adorable and I enjoyed getting to know them.

Reach for the Stars

During my internship I spent two weeks at space camp filming 6th,7th, and 8th graders learning about space, more specifically the moon. These kids had been amazing and I was very sad to see them go. With out a doubt I would go back and be a councilor. One of my first assignments in regards to this camp was to work on the design for the t-shirts all the kids would get.

The image on the left was a sketch created by another intern. I took that image and turned it into the image on the right.  The image on the bottom is what in the end wound up on the t-shirts for the camp.

Photographing Interns

During my internship I had to photograph the other interns for a  yearbook being created by another intern in my office. Here are a few of the photographs I shot. The first three images are of interns who where working in the aircraft office. The fourth image is of an intern who was working in robotics.

During the internship I had the opportunity to watch a rocket lunch. The image below shows where the lunch took off from. The tall part in between the two white lights is the rocket.

The next three images are screen caps from the footage of the rocket lunching.

Lastly here is the clip of the rocket lunching. It's hard to see much but a bright light but I was not allowed any closer then where I was standing and the camera could not see any closer then what is shown in this clip.

Internship with NASA

After graduation I started an internship with NASA. My assignment was to create a documentary of the internship program. My job also included taking photographs of the interns. Below is the video I made for the internship program. I will post some of the images at a later time.

This video was presented on the final day of the internship where each intern had to give a presentation on what they had done over the eight weeks of the internship.

First Shooting Since Graduation

After Hurricane Irene I went out to shoot the flooding that had occurred from the Pocomoke River, Pocomoke meaning dark water. Not much flooding occurred but the main road in to town has been closed. Though that didn't stop people from driving though. Below are a few shots I took of the flooding.
